The position
You will contribute to shaping, implementing, and managing Data and Al policies that balance benefits and risks for responsible data use – in concert with a broad set of internal partners such as Data & Al customers, legal, data privacy, and compliance teams. As a Data & AI Policy Specialist, you will employ a range of skills including policy expertise, project management, and change management – and you can support internal Al governance activities, including updating and deployment of Standard Operating Procedures. As a Data & AI Policy Specialist, you will have the opportunity to: Lead and support defined projects related to Al risk management. Provide consultancy support to internal Al practitioners to ensure Al risk assessments are embedded and applied according to policy. Ensure that Al risk assessments are embedded into internal business processes by building strong relations with stakeholders – based on excellent insight into customer needs, legal, ethical, and security considerations, as well as standard methodology for Data & Al Policy. Develop and update internal policy and governance resources to support and enable responsible use of Al, including playbooks, Standard Operating Procedures, Intranet/SharePoint pages, community of practice and more. Develop training and lead change management to implement new Standard Operating Procedures to the wider development community. Contribute to audit and inspection readiness activities to adhere to external Al regulations. Contribute to developing and executing data and Al policy strategies. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: Relevant degree in Information/Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT, Medical life sciences, Legal or other related subjects. Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the Pharma industry and Life Sciences. Experience in AI risk management. Experience in developing policies and frameworks based on legal and other requirements. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships. Strong change management skills. Excellent organisational skills, and ability to handle different projects/priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure. It is considered a plus if you have: Experience working with data and AI-related legislation and policy (e.g. GDPR, GCP, GxP) Experience achieving tangible and acknowledged value in a similar position and scale of challenge and opportunity. A project or programme management track record.
