Main Purpose of Job
The primary role of the Senior Solutions Architect is to provide security technology consulting services to customers in defence, security, and commercial sectors and may be engaged in a broad range of activities from helping a customer define and develop a solution to an immediate need to considering the strategic long-term exploitation of an emerging technology.
Information Security/IT Security aspects are key such as information flow, security requirements and implementation – undertaking technical pre-sale activity with customers & understanding their requirements, capturing those & turning into solutions. For Service Leavers, in addition to your incredible transferrable military skills, you will also be able to demonstrate ‘wider’ experience / an ‘elevated’ understanding (or awareness of) in this respect.
You will be part of the Service Team which is split into 2 functional lanes. 1 – Delivery (security delivery architecture and design) means as a solution architect , you will have the gravitas, experience & skills to sit with client, extract requirements and business needs and convert into a solution architecture and 2 – Information Security Advisory & Assurance.
Depending on the engagement, the Solutions Architect may work alone or as part of a larger team. When working as part of a team, will take a leading role, shaping the solution and providing a primary contact point with the customer. Will ensure customer’s needs are clearly articulated to the team as a whole and will take responsibility for smooth delivery of the project.
Whilst primarily concerned with project delivery the Solutions Architect will have a secondary role supporting business development and sales providing technical guidance into sales activity both for sales led by our client and working with partners or system integrators as part of a consortium.
