About the role
The project is run by the UCL AI Centre which, in addition to a strong technical research focus, supports AI policy development. The prime responsibility of the post holder will be to research AI policy and regulation in the UK and place this in a global context, reporting these results on a frequent basis and helping organise meetings and workshops with key stakeholders.
Please note that appointed at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B Spine point 25 (salary £37,- £ 39, per annum) inclusive of London Allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
The role is This post will be funded until 28/02/ in the first instance.
About you
The candidate will have a degree and an academic background in AI for policy and regulation, with a demonstrable interest in understanding UK and international AI policy and regulation. The candidate will have excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
