We are hiring 3 professionals who will build the future of work with Generative AI! As a Full-Stack Developer at Steelcase, you’ll be a key player in creating intelligent workplace tools that revolutionize how people work. What You Will Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and deploy captivating in-house applications, focusing on clean code, intuitive interfaces, and seamless user journeys.
- Integrate Generative AI technologies, exploring their potential to enhance user experience, automate tasks, and generate creative content.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to bridge the gap between ideas and reality.
- Be ahead of the curve by continuously learning and experimenting with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge and supporting your team.

We’re a dynamic group of skilled professionals from Romania and the United States. Within the group, we’re setting up a brand-new team that you will be part of called AI Experiences Development. We operate under Agile methodologies, valuing accountability, flexibility, perseverance, and adaptability. Utilizing a hybrid work model, we leverage virtual meetings and in-person gatherings to stay connected, collaborate, and share knowledge.
Our team boasts diverse talents in software development, AI (data science, data engineering, MLOps), and design (UI/UX), fostering a supportive and learning environment. You’ll have the chance to discover opportunities for personal and professional development through platforms like LinkedIn Learning, engaging workshops hosted by industry leaders such as Microsoft and Google, educational resources like Udemy, and internal training programs. You’ll be challenged to push your skills to the limit, while your expertise in front-end, back-end, and low-code development will be invaluable in bringing our Generative AI projects to life.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 3 years of full-stack development experience building real-world applications.
- Front-end fluency: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript / TypeScript (Vue.js, React, or similar framework).
- Back-end mastery: C#, Python, Node.js, or similar language (ASP.NET Core, Flask, or similar framework).
- Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, and their querying languages.
- ORM, Authentication, and App Deployment experience.
- Version control proficiency: Git or similar system.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to break down challenges, find solutions, and think critically.
- Communication and teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with people from different locations and cultures, share ideas clearly, and work towards common goals.
- Eager and willing to learn modern technologies: the product, desired experience, and constraints will dictate architecture and tech stack decisions.
- Professional business English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and tools: GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini etc.
- Cloud platform experience: Azure (ecosystem, components, Key Vault, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, OpenAI service, AI services, etc.), GCP, AWS, or similar.
- Frameworks: Nuxt.js / Next.js
- Basic design ability: including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Figma experience: transition from wireframes to applications.
- DevOps principles and practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Low-code tools experience: Power Automate, Copilot Studio.
- Experience with building bots: Bot Framework Composer.
- Containerization: Docker / Kubernetes.
- CSS frameworks: Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap etc.
- Tool and service pricing understanding.
