Sr. Technical Solutions Architect (remote) Contract

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Solutions Architect for a US-based remote position to help with an Oracle ERP Cloud Migration project (migrating from SAP & PeopleSoft to Oracle ERP). The Technical Solutions Architect will possess a mastery of a variety of hardware platforms including mainframes, distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices. The Technical Solutions Architect must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one of the major cloud computing platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google, or IBM Cloud). Oracle cloud is preferred.

This starts out as a 6-month contract position with the strong potential to extend or convert to FTE.

Job Description: Project Scope: This candidate will be working on our Oracle ERP Cloud Migration project. We are migrating from current ERP (SAP, PeopleSoft etc…) to Oracle ERP cloud.

Technical Solutions Architect Description

• The IT Technical Solutions Architect will work within a project along with the Project Manager to exercise end-to-end accountability for the solution to ensure quality project outcomes and that the system that is built meets the business needs and achieves the intended business value.
• The Technical Solutions Architect is accountable for the overall architecture and design of the solution across a limited number of applications or domains and are assigned to projects/initiatives of medium size, complexity and risk.
• Provide broad cross-functional expertise to assist with problem resolution. The IT Technical Solutions Architect serves the company as an advisor on best practices and is responsible for designing and effectively implementing strategies, architectures and solutions in alignment with CTO office guidelines.
• Develops actionable blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure information technology architecture is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business. The position facilitates design and implementation of flexible, scalable and cost-effective solutions.

Technical Solutions Architect Requirements & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
• 5-8 years of work experience designing systems/applications architecture on progressively complex IT projects
• Mastery of a variety of hardware platforms including mainframes, distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one of the major cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle cloud or IBM Cloud (experience with Oracle cloud would be preferred)
• Must be familiar with cloud-native services, including computing, storage, database, security, and networking. Additionally, they should have experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda), and cloud-based DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Must possess strong architecture and design skills, with the ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems.
• Knowledgeable about architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture.
• Familiar with design patterns, including those related to security, data storage, and messaging.
• Must possess excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. They should be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
