Research Engineer – LLM / NLP / AI

We are currently partnered with a well-funded start-up in the UK working on the development of cutting-edge next-generation honest AI. The team is looking for an experienced Research Engineer to actively contribute to developing systems responsible for automating complex knowledge works.
This is a permanent opportunity based onsite in Holborn, London.
Key Responsibilities for this Research Engineer position:
- Fine-tine language models with both full parameter and parameter efficient methods.
- Set up extensive evaluation suites to assess model performance.
- Work collaboratively with founders, researchers, and advisors to grow the applied research organization and navigate the complexities of AI alignment.
- Tackle unsolved LLM product and engineering challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record working on the development and fine-tuning of LLMs.
- Previous expereince training and evaluating language models across GPUs.
- Demonstrated skills productionizing and optimizing large-scale ML systems.
- Strong research and engineering background, ideally with publications in top AI conferences.
- Previous expereince working in complex and high-stakes ML domains.
