As an intern with a background in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning or Artificial Intillegence, you can work on numerous projects to bring online educational resources to educators and students.
Possible projects
Here are some topics you could be working on:
- Feature engineering for video search
- Resource type classification
- Learning objective prediction
- Quiz generation
- AI tutor
Our collection of over 70 million educational and informational resources with metadata provides a rich dataset to train and test your work on. This includes:
- implicit and explicit relevance judgements
- sources with metadata
- curriculum aligned resources
- access to various types of end-users
Your skills
- BSc in a relevant area (AI/ML/NLP/IR)
- Strong analytical skills
- Python/Java/Elasticsearch experience (depending on project)
- Curious, self-motivated and proactive
- Good communication skills
- Passion for science, technology and education
