What You’ll Be Doing

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage research projects focusing on HIV and other transmissible infections within KRC’s target populations. This includes facilitating grant submissions, preparing manuscripts for publication, supervising clinical data collection and analysis, and reporting findings to relevant health authorities. KRC is one of the SESLHD Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services, and this role may collaborate with those services as required.

Selection Criteria

• Hold tertiary qualifications in Epidemiology, Public Health, or Social Sciences or relevant work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
• Possess proficiency in handling large datasets, extracting data, and conducting statistical analysis using Stata or equivalent software.
• Demonstrate experience in coordinating and conducting research projects in the public health/health domain.
• Experience in submitting ethics applications and adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards in research studies.
• Exhibit a track record of consistently completing projects within specified deadlines.
• Show commitment to actively involving health service consumers throughout the research process.
• Demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in writing for publication.
• Demonstrate knowledge of research issues relating to people with a history of injecting drug use, sex work, and other priority populations engaging with KRC programs.
