Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Architect Lead or Data Architect Principal specializing in HR systems to join our dynamic team. As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in understanding and optimizing the flow of HR-related data across various systems, ensuring efficient integration and accessibility for downstream processes and analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of HR data structures, system architecture, and integration methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Flow Analysis: Analyze the end-to-end flow of HR data from source systems (Workday as our core HCM, timekeeping, scheduling, payroll, recruitment platforms) through intermediate systems and to downstream applications and analytics platforms.
• System Integration Design: Design and architect robust, scalable solutions for integrating HR data across different systems while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Data Modeling and Standardization: Develop data models, schemas, and standards that facilitate consistent data definitions and structures across HR systems and downstream applications.
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize data retrieval, transformation, and loading processes to improve system performance and responsiveness.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with HR stakeholders, IT teams, and business analysts to gather requirements, define data integration strategies, and document technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Quality Assurance: Implement data quality monitoring and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of HR data across systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data architecture and HR systems to propose and implement innovative solutions that drive business value.

Additional Responsibilities For a Principal

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR leaders, IT teams, business analysts, and external vendors to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Documentation and Training: Document technical architecture decisions, guidelines, and standards. Provide guidance and training to technical teams and stakeholders on the implementation and maintenance of HR system architectures.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), payroll systems, and other HR-related applications.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and database design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and familiarity with cloud platforms for deploying HR systems and data solutions

Minimum Qualifications (For HR Data Architect)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field. Proven experience (5-7 years) in HR Technology, as a Data Architect, or similar role with a focus on HR systems and data integration.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience (7+ years) in HR Technology, as a Data Architect, or similar role with a focus on HR systems and data integration

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: Monthly Range: $9,213 – $15,210
