Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Healthcare Data Analyst to join our dynamic team for a fully remote, 12 month+ contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of analytical expertise and strategic thinking, with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights and driving forward-looking change within the healthcare industry.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement payer analytics and economics strategies to optimize health outcomes and catalyze organizational change
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy data, leveraging these insights to influence financial decision-making across various levels of the organization
• Utilize advanced SQL and Excel skills to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets, translating complex information into clear, actionable insights
• Stay abreast of industry trends, healthcare policies, and medical economics concepts to inform strategic initiatives and drive measurable results
• Design and build intuitive Power BI dashboards to visualize data and support data-driven decision-making processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate medical economics principles into projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and collateral materials to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress towards financial and operational targets.

Required

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Health Economics, Statistics, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics
• Proficient in SQL querying and data manipulation
• Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts and data into clear, concise narratives
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, while also being a collaborative team player

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
