Generative AI Governance Analyst (Hybrid-Houston, TX ) Contract

***Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates***

Must Haves

• Must have 1-2+ years’ experience as in Generative AI and over 5 years as a Governance Analyst in general
• Must be familiar with developing and implementing AI governance policies and frameworks
• Must know how to maintain comprehensive documentation of AI governance policies, procedures, and decisions
• Must know how to Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI implementations
• Must have experience engaging with internal stakeholders to align AI governance with organizational goals.

Project Details:
1.      Policy Development and Enforcement
a.      Collaborate with Legal & Compliance to develop and implement AI governance policies and frameworks.
b.      Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and best practices for responsible AI use.
c.      Regularly review and update policies to align with new regulations and technological advancements.

2.      Ethics & Regulatory Compliance
a.      Work with Legal and Compliance to keep up with current and future AI-related laws and regulations.
b.      Stay updated on AI-related laws and regulations and make sure the team follows them in their AI endeavors.
c.      Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to adapt to regulatory changes in AI governance methods.
d.      Perform ethical assessments of AI projects to ensure they align with organizational values and social standards.

3.      Risk Management
a.      Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI implementations.
b.      Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans.
c.      Conduct regular audits and assessments of AI systems for compliance and risk.

4.      Security and Privacy
a.      Collaborate with the Cyber Integration Center to ensure AI systems are secure from threats and vulnerabilities.
b.      Ensure that AI systems comply with data privacy laws and standards.
c.      Develop protocols for handling and reporting security breaches or privacy violations.

6.      Stakeholder Engagement
a.      Conduct Data & AI Council meetings – engaging with internal stakeholders to align AI governance with organizational goals.
b.      Manage GenAI Hackathons
c.      Act as a liaison between the AI governance team and external stakeholder; AI partners and customers.
d.      Collaborate with Talent on AI impact on people and culture.

7.      Training and Awareness
a.      Develop and deliver training programs on AI governance and compliance for employees.
b.      Raise awareness about responsible AI practices and the importance of governance among staff.
c.      Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Talen on communications; internal and external
d.      Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of AI governance initiatives.

8.      Collaboration with Gen AI Hub Team
a.      Assist the Gen AI Hub team in implementing AI governance and compliance measures throughout the AI development lifecycle.
b.      Ensure that Gen AI Hub team incorporates AI governance practices into the AI development lifecycle from the beginning to the end.
c.      Support the Gen AI Hub team in embedding AI governance and compliance practices into AI projects.

9.      Innovation and Continuous Improvement
a.      Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI governance and technology – conferences, webinars, articles, partner events.
b.       Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly evaluating and enhancing AI governance practices.
c.       Encourage innovation while ensuring adherence to governance standards.

10.     Documentation and Reporting
a.      Maintain comprehensive documentation of AI governance policies, procedures, and decisions.
b.      Prepare and present regular reports on AI governance activities, compliance status, and risk assessments to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
