What the day will look like

Build and lead the implementation of architectural methodology and process improvements crafted to shape the technology organization into an extraordinary team using outstanding practices and technologies.

Lead assigned Architecture staff in a Matrixed environment, collaborating with Development Delivery, Product Directors, Product Support and Enterprise Architecture. Lead the architecture of reusable application frameworks and application integration capabilities. Lead alignment to the global, regional, and local solutions with the overall architecture and strategy.

Publish and maintain a future state vision with the Enterprise Architecture leaders to support the EA strategy.

Work together with a distributed team of EA resources to coordinate common architecture and standards (i.e., data, security, software, application, and platform integration), and coordination processes to realize the objectives of the vision.

Communicate effectively with senior leadership, technology leadership and the business to build strong partnerships for collaboration and influence.

Provide technology thought leadership to our product managers and application development colleague. Deliver on continuous improvement of the existing software architectures. Ensure consistent, quality architecture work.

Successful experience staying abreast of innovative technology trends and legal requirements and experienced at figuring out which are applicable to AON. Integrating those that would benefit the organization. Participate in future planning to drive architectural alignment.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success.

• Validated expertise of 10 years or more in technology leadership as an architect. At least four must be in a senior leadership role. Employment history must demonstrate growing levels of responsibility.
• 10 years of experience leading staff, preferably in a Matrix Environment and handling budgets.
• 5 years vendor management, partnering with Legal, Security, Compliance, Operations
• Expertise in architecting blueprints and roadmaps Agile development methodology experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent in a technology-related field and/or equivalent work-related experience.
• Experience working in a Scaled Agile or Multi-methodology environment preferred.
• Artificial Intelligence or Automation experience/knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Experiencing creating and leading architecture governance approaches and methods.
• National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certification is a plus.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $180,000 – $220,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
