Enterprise Architect with a unique blend of Business and Technical Architecture expertise. Ideal for a Domain Architect or Principal Solution Architect looking to transition into an EA role, or an experienced EA who remains passionate about staying at the forefront of technology.

Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Period: Initial 12-month contract with extensions

Location: Brisbane CBD

Job Summary

Our client, a leading ASX-listed company, is seeking an Enterprise Architect with a unique mix of hands-on experience in strategy development and both business and technical enterprise architecture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of domain-driven design and related architectural practices. You will play a key role in shaping the client’s innovative strategy for digitally composable enterprise architecture and ensuring future readiness.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing our digital blueprint for the composable architecture framework, including creating a technology strategy, operating model, and roadmap that align with our business priorities.
• Lead the development of guardrails for the composable architecture framework, encompassing best practices, guidelines, patterns, standards, reference architectures, and templates.
• Oversee the validation, documentation, continuous improvement, and dissemination of key deliverables.
• Provide strategic and solution-oriented guidance to internal Platforms and Products development teams to ensure alignment with the Composable Architecture Framework’s vision and guardrails.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor solutions to effectively evaluate and recommend innovations that could enhance the organization’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts from other enterprise technical domains to integrate their technical guardrails into the composable architecture framework and self-service knowledge base.

Requirements and Skills

• Extensive experience in business architecture and domain-driven architecture, design, implementation, and strategy.
• Proven experience in modern integration and microservices design, development technology.
• Technical knowledge of relevant technical domains including: multi-experience development, cloud computing, data architecture, AI, security.
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and ArchiMate.
• Knowledge across large scale enterprise solutions or platforms such as: SAP, MS Azure, AWS, Oracle.
• Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and conceptual and strategic thinker.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to balance long-term (“big-picture”) and short-term implications of architecture decisions.
• Experience with large scale digital transformation programs.
