✅The Role

AI team is responsible for researching, designing, implementing and optimizing cutting edge data science solutions in fields like image tech, NLP or fraud. We’re looking at different methodologies/models and validate them to find the most promising solution to our actual problems. As a data scientist team lead you will be managing the projects of the NLP team in different products lines/business area. As a lead you’ll be responsible of the research & implementation of the agreed projects, the timely delivery, the clear communication and alignment. The projects are usually based on the following fields: LLMs, deep learning NLP, traditional ML scoring models and NLP related search algorithms.

✅Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead a team of 3-4 data scientists and actively manage R&D projects on the roadmap
• Proactively engage stakeholders, communicate with product and ops representatives
• Follow agile practices and facilitate team events, like knowledge sharing, code review and brainstorming sessions
• Try different SOTA architectures and models to achieve best performance both in processing speed and accuracy
• Work closely with subject matter experts to validate results and share knowledge about the used methodology
• Take care of the continuously increasing training/test datasets, verify consistency, offer solution for revisiting labeling issues
• Think creatively about the implemented solutions, advise new features or tools, innovate

✅Essential

• PhD or MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or related field
• 8+ years relevant industry experience in researching/building data science applications
• 2+ years relevant experience in leading a small team of data scientists
• Hands-on development experiment with LLMs, deep learning NLP models and traditional ML techniques
• Experience with GPU backed modeling/inference
• Proficient programming skills in a high-level DS languages (python, R)
• Experience with working in cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Kaggle, etc. )
• Knowledge of relational databases, noSQL, memory database technologies, graph processing (Elastic Search, MongoDB, Redis)
• Broader knowledge of large dataset processing pipelines and distributed computing architectures (Apache Beam/Airflow, Spark/Hadoop architectures)
