REQUIRED SKILLS Three Primary areas are looking for this person:
Data Governance
Data Quality
Being a Change Agent or having ability to influence to take on what this new platform and modernization
o Need to be experienced enough to articulate their vision, getting buy in from R&D Data side, ensure Senior Leaders have the buy in that they won’t disrupt their current flows, they are enhancing it.
Ideal Candidates needs to have a combination of Architecture/Engineering skills and be strong communicators to implement and sustain changes to their downstream data collection and analytics
Data Governance and Quality:
Champion data governance practices and policies.
Influence stakeholders to adhere to data standards and best practices.
Implement data quality frameworks, including profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and monitoring.
Platform Design:
Understand modern data platform architectures, especially cloud-native solutions.
Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data platforms using AWS services or other cloud providers.
Data Modeling:
Proficiently create efficient data schemas that meet analytical and operational needs.
Ensure adherence to performance and scalability best practices.
Data Integration:
Expertise in integrating data from diverse sources.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and real-time data integration methods.
Cloud Computing:
Understand cloud concepts and have hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Familiarity with services like S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena.
Programming and Scripting:
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and scripting.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
Analyze intricate data-related challenges.
Identify root causes and propose innovative solutions.
