Job summary
The Trust’s R&D Department is responsible for the governance of all research studies taking place at Cambridge University Hospitals.
The Data and AI Research Governance Coordinator is responsible for providing expert advice for a portfolio of research involving NHS clinical informatics and AI across a wide range of specialties, throughout the life course of the research project. You will assist with the development of relevant governance processes and ensure that the Trust is fully compliant with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act and any other applicable legislation, framework or national and international guidance.
In addition you will need to be organised, proactive, methodical and able to work autonomously and with a high level of initiative.

Main duties of the job
Advise and support researchers in all aspects of data and AI research governance, including submitting applications to the Health Research Authority and NHS ethics. Clearly communicate requirements to researchers and ensure researchers correctly complete and submit documentation to the department.
Coordinate the clinical data access committee and adjunct patient panel, providing specialist advice to researchers and colleagues in relation to the review of data and AI projects.
Monitor studies taking place at the Trust, ensuring that researchers are fully compliant with legislation, policies and guidance.
