Role Description

As a Data Analyst – Scientist with us, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. Your work will directly impact strategic decisions and business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources
• Gather and document client requirements, serving as a liaison between business and Data Warehousing team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support various business initiatives and projects.
• Using machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
• Carrying out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
• Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
• Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms
• Presenting results in a clear manner
• Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data analysis processes and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field
• Proven Experience with Python, PySpark, SPSS, and Apache Spark
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Apache Superset and Power BI)
• Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS)
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive and Apache Spark)
• Knowledge in multivariate statistics (regression, principal components analysis, clustering)
• Proficiency in SQL
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and techniques
• Experience in data wrangling, cleaning, and preprocessing
• Data-driven predictive model development experience
• Ability to perform predictive and prescriptive analytics
• Ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated experience handling data projects from inception to completion
• Good understanding of machine learning and AI techniques and tools
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Certifications in data analytics tools or methodologies (optional but preferred)
