I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services requires the services of 3 Data Analyst/Report Writer 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Data Analyst/Report Writer 2, Data/Database Administration and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
The Worker is responsible collecting and assembling project data for deliverable and report submission to the statewide Quality Assurance Team (QAT).
Specific job duties
Identify opportunities for improvement for collecting and storing project data needed for completing deliverables and reports.
Collect pertinent project data monthly.
Assemble pertinent project data into complex monthly reports for agency submission to the QAT.
Ensure highest quality of data collection, report writing, and data entry.
Respond to ad hoc requests.
Become familiar with DFPS projects and their Texas Project Delivery Framework deliverables.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of project management principles, project phases, and standard deliverables.
Experience with data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instruction and processes.
Experience with generating reports accurately in an established format.
Ability to create and adhere to a schedule.
Ability to organize and prioritize in order to independently and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain data accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports based on input from IT and business groups.
Excellent proofreading, editing, and grammar skills.
Ability to form productive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
Experience interacting with and presenting to leadership.
Knowledge of and experience with the Texas Project Delivery Framework
Knowledge of and experience with the statewide Quality Assurance Team
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
