Title:  Data Analyst II (Remote)

Location: West Valley City, UT 84120, USA

Duration:  03 Months (Possible extension)

Pay Rate: $40 – $50/hour on w2 without any benefits

Shift: Mon – Fri (09:00 AM – 05:00 PM )

Job Description

Seeking a skilled and experienced data analyst to drive the filling of existing data gaps between multiple applications.

The successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders and partners to uncover the root causes of the current reporting gaps between our CRM, Finance, and SaaS Administrative systems.

The candidate will use their data analysis skills to write queries and reports to expose the root causes and any data deficiencies.

The candidate will work to fill in the gaps with the missing data by leveraging Tableau reports and system data and interacting with the necessary business contacts.

This role requires a persistent self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and excels at performing data analysis. The successful candidate will also be adept at developing solutions to address data relationship challenges and turning the underlying data into actionable and insightful information.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with internal stakeholders and work partners to uncover underlying data shortcomings based on user feedback and verifiable and anecdotal evidence.

• Create reports to validate user feedback and determine the extent of the problems.

• Present your findings and work with the team to develop solutions to these problems. Solutions should adhere to best practices and cause minimal disruption to current business processes.

• As you uncover data gaps, document the specific data values and work to have those updated in the source systems.

• Create reports to verify the implemented solutions’ effectiveness and ensure continued data integrity.

• Document your work throughout each project phase, including detailed explanations of reports and implemented solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of in-depth experience in business system data analysis.

• Experience writing advanced SQL queries for Amazon Redshift.

• Proficiency in understanding database schemas, tables, and data types.

• Oracle and Salesforce backend and database schema knowledge.

• Knowledge of database best practices, particularly the role and use of primary and foreign keys.

• Analytical aptitude with the ability to understand and solve complex problems.

• The ability to present your findings to both a technical and non-technical audience.

• Time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage your workload.

• Strong written communication skills.

• The ability to work with and contribute to a team with diverse professional backgrounds.

Basic Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited University/ College and 4 years’ experience in a data analytics role.

• Agile methodologies experience.

• CompTIA Data+

• Tableau, Power BI, or Excel

• Verbal and Visual Data Presentation
