About SVT Play
SVT Play was one of the world’s first video streaming services when first released in 2006. Since then it has become one of most important products for SVT in the transition from traditional broadcast to an online first service. Today it is rated as one of the most beloved streaming services in Sweden. As a living destination for stories that engage the whole of Sweden with the full range of content from News to Movies to Series to Kids Shows we constantly want to improve the usability of our product making sure it’s easy for our users finding what they are looking for and fun discovering something new.

The team’s mission
The Content Discovery-team’s (CD-team) mission is exploring a personalized experience to help our users to discover the best content for them. We develop our own central recommendations engine for algorithmic exposure – that goes hand in hand with the editorial curation.

The team is cross functional and consists of Developers, UX, Data Analysts and a Product Owner. Everyone is involved in the development process from discovery to delivery and the loop back. For the last couple of years the developers have been working with mob programming which creates a collective ownership and a strong team.

About You
We are seeking you who have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst with technical skills. Being at the core of our data driven development process you take a leading role in formulating and analysing A/B-tests as well as other data driven product development methods. You are both grounded in statistics as in various ways of visualizing and following up results e.g. in Tableau. You also navigate the data modelling parts. You are skilled in SQL and have experience of working with DBT.

Pedagogical and communicative skills for making data accessible and understandable is also something we value as more and more parts of SVT are using data for decision making.
