We now have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst (Education) to join our team reporting in the Head of Group Education Insight and Projects.

About the role

As a data analyst in the global education team, you will connect with Cognita regional and school teams to ensure the effective reporting of data relating to education, including data relating to academic outcomes, safeguarding and digital learning. The Data Analyst (Education) will be expected to:

• Manage communications with Cognita school and regional teams, to ensure seamless and timely collection of education related data
• Manage process for annual reporting of key data, through publication of insight reports.
• Manage continual improvement of harmonized approaches and methods for the collection and analysis of education data.
• End to end production of education related data reports and apps within Power Bi.
• Manage continual improvement of education data reports and apps in Power Bi, ensuring high levels of engagement and added value for Cognita community.
• Complete regular and proactive research, to ensure that we are leading in supporting with data-driven decision making for school improvement.
• Visible passion for education, understanding the importance of harnessing data for the continual improvement of schools within our community.

Who we are looking for:

To be considered for this role you will be familiar with varied data collection approaches and integrating data sets within Power Bi or similar visualisation software. We would also expect;

• Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights from them, through proficiency with statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Outstanding writing, editorial and data visualisation skills, with advanced proficiency when using Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel for insight development and reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven experience of fluently using Power Bi (or similar) for analysis, as well as to create and maintain standalone reports and apps.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working in international teams, using range of styles.
• Desire to build expertise regarding key educational concepts, global curricula and inspection/accreditation systems.
• Strong research skills.

Other desirable skills include:

• Existing knowledge of key educational concepts, global curricula or inspection/accreditation systems.
• Experience working in education-related environment.
• Proficiency in Spanish, including for conversation and writing.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
